Varsity 7’s & Varsity Beach Volleyball Plettenberg Bay, 23rd & 24th November 2012

Our members are all amateur golfers who are older than 55. We are part of an international society with the headquarters in the UK. The South African Union is divided into 9 "provincial" societies of which seven host the national tournament in rotation. 2012 is the turn of the Senior Golfers' Society of the Southern Cape.
On past occasions the SC tournament has been held in George, but in 2012 it will be held in Plettenberg Bay (Plettenberg Bay Country Club) and Knysna (Knysna Golf Club).
There are 344 golfers of which about half are expected to bring their wives - a total attendance of more than 500.
The tournament takes place over 4 days - Tuesday 24 April to Friday 27 April with each competitor playing two rounds on each course. The Championship proper is on the Thursday and Friday.
There will be a mixed golf competition on Sunday 22 April, and the Monday is used for practice rounds.
There is a welcoming cocktail party on the Monday night and a Gala dinner on the Friday night.
We arrange an extensive an interesting ladies program which includes golf and other activities.
