Plett’s line-up of festivals and sporting events makes for an exciting getaway. In February, the annual Plett Music Festival hits a chord as national and international musicians are featured at the historical White House Theatre. Music and art enthusiasts can combine both passions at the Plett Fringe Festival and the emerging MAD Festival which allows for local artists, musicians, actors to showcase their talent.
Plett also plays host to several spectator sporting events each year, drawing visitors and competitors from all over the world. For trail running fans, there's the African Otter Trail Run. If other shorter-distance outdoor activities such as cycling or ocean fun is more your speed, check out the Plett Discovery Easter Games, and other racing events like the MTB Triple Challenge, Doctor Evil Classic, The Wedge Classic or the Sabrina Love Ocean Challenge. Lastly, don’t miss out on the very first Plett Wine Festival, inviting visitors and locals to experience the delights of local wines from our locally producing vineyards. With 16 producing farms, this area was declared as one of South Africa’s Newest Wine of Origin Regions.
