Travel like a local. There are so many ways to explore Plettenberg Bay, depending on your interests and the time you have available. Below are some of our favourite Plett Instagram accounts to follow while you’re on holiday in Plett.
@sharynhodges
Sharyn is a favourite Plett Instagrammer and photographer who shoots with both a drone and land camera. She is known for breathtaking sunrise photos, aerial shots of Robberg and the beach, and incredible images of whales and dolphins from above. If you see Sharyn on the beach, she’s usually joined by her two besties, Dani and Bear, who now have their own Instagram account. @daniandbear Bear is pictured below.
@orca_foundation_south_africa
The Orca Foundation is one of Plettenberg Bay’s marine research organisations and is a part of a volunteer community dedicated to marine conservation in South Africa. They spend a lot of time on research boats, working in the Plett community and on the beaches of Plettenberg Bay. Keep an eye on their account if you’d like to know where the whales and dolphins have been spotted and if you’d like to find out more about their volunteer work in the area. Or better yet, why not join them as a volunteer? www.orcafoundation.com
