22 April Cairnbrogie Easter Trail Run
Entries will open 1 March. Limited to 100 runners p/event.
Distances: Long 10-12km, Short 4-6km, Kiddies Farmyard Easter egg Hunt 1,5km.
Cairnbrogie Farm has been owned by the Hill family since 1972 and is situated on the cliffs above the Indian Ocean between Harkerville and Kranshoek 15 minutes outside Plett. Trail running routes will follow cattle paths through Fyn bos filled kloofs and a fisherman’s path will take runners to with in a stones throw of the ocean some single track around dams and the forested sections will provide some relief from the afternoon sun.

29th April – 2nd May Elvis Festival Africa
This year’s festival will be held at the Protea Hotel Tsitsikamma Village, Storms River on the 29th April to the 2nd May 2011 and will include:
  • The Almost Elvis Competition
  • The Miss Marilyn Beauty Pageant
  • Elvis Tribute Artists (ETA) entertainment organized with the professional help of Shaky Russel.
  • The fair of local products & other stalls.
  • Garden Route’s Got Talent – The ELVIS way Competition.
  • The South African Elvis Fan Club will host fun activities, interesting topics and trivia games like a Teddy Bear Hunt for young and the not so young and will organise a memorabilia shop.
  • Big Screen ELVIS history, movies all day long.

May 2011 Festival of Speed / Renault Knysna Hillclimb
The Renault Knysna Hillclimb usually takes place at the end of October. The event kicks off with pre-qualifying for the main event. The action then runs through with the Renault media challenge and then the first two of six timed runs for Historic cars will also be held during the day.

A trail run packed with adventure of 100km over 3 days promising to offer you hundreds of circles to be run in and around the Knysna Forest. The symbol of the event represents the old elephant that was to be seen years ago…she walked through the forest from Goudveld to Diepwalle, dawn to dusk, solo!

The much anticipated SABA Wedge Classic is the 3rd event and final event before S.A Champs on the prestigious 2010 South African Bodyboarding Association circuit with points counting towards the crowning of the year end SABA champions. The event will be held between 5th and 11th July.

The Otter is a two day trail running event featuring one of the best Trail Runs on planet earth and a shorter but no less spectacular prologue the day before to determine the starting order!! The Otter is a trail run set in the breathtaking Tsitsikamma National Park traversing the full 5-day hiking route of the Otter Trail.

7 October Eden to Addo Great Corridor Challenge
Eden to Addo Great Corridor CHALLANGE – a fund raising event that caters for the couragous. Funds raised from the event add to the arsenal of Eden to Addo in support of our conservation work. It is an expedition for adventure minded participants. Only 25 participants will start a journey from the home of the last remaining secretive wild elephant(s) in the Knysna Forest, traveling on mountain bike and on foot, traversing old elephant migration routes on the way through the whole length of the Eden to Addo Corridor and ending 11 days later in Addo. A total of 550km, 7 mountain ridges and 5 biomes. The Adventure consists of 8 days of mountain biking, 2 days of hiking and 1 day of hiking and mountain biking.

The event will start on the 7th of October 2011 at the Diepwalle Forest Station.

Exciting foods include jacket potatoes with an assortment of fillings, buttery corn off the cob, scooped with a spoon or a healthy vegetarian wrap will take your fancy. For a little indulgence, gluwein, freshly baked bread, smooth creamy cheeses, colourful candies, raw chocolate truffels(sugar free!) cakes and cookies to take home. Wholesome soups and ready made home cooked meals to keep in the freezer for that emergency meal with no fuss. Fresh produce, organic products, olives, jam, preserves and caught-in- the- morning fish from our own waters.
