Have a green holiday!
Have you ever considered the impact of your holiday? Get involved with The Green Ticket.org which allows you to help the local community and natural surroundings while doing something to offset your carbon footprint at the same time.
The Green Ticket.org has started a local reforestation programme where properly selected indigenous trees are planted within two different projects to both offset your emissions and to protect our national heritage:
The Eden to Addo corridor, an initiative aiming to establish an interlinked corridor from here to the Addo Elephant National Park ensuring biodiversity, ecological connectivity and free movement for species and ecological processes.
The Bitou 10 Foundation which represents 10 schools in the greater Plettenberg Bay area. Community schools are greened to create a better environment for the children whilst also getting them involved in the process while they learn about the necessity of conservation.
The Green Ticket.org has recognised the importance of getting the younger generations more involved in all things green and has developed environmental education projects with Ingwe Forest Adventures. Ingwe is an outdoor educational venue offering wonderful opportunities for environmental projects, stimulating camps and workshops.
Human and conservation issues are intricately linked, and with that as a guiding principle, The Green Ticket.org is providing a skills development and job creation scheme where nurseries and other related businesses are created, thus perpetuating self sustaining community projects and responsible and sustainable work for the communities involved.
Please contact us to get involved - don’t worry, no digging is required!
